I’m Dr. Sharon Gurm, Naturopathic Physician of Integrative Oncology and Founder and Clinical Director of Port Moody Health Integrative Medicine and Cancer Care.
As I reflect on the past year my heart is filled with gratitude and love, for all of those who have supported our clinic and its growth. Our patients, our partners in health from our local community and abroad and also my dedicated, hardworking and compassionate staff.
It is because of the support of our patients and trusted health partners that we can continually strive to deliver the best in comprehensive healthcare. From hormones to mental health, from sports medicine to chronic pain syndromes and the diverse types of cancer we treat to help our patients achieve better outcomes.
This past year we introduced bedside ultrasound for assessment and diagnostic purposes and to precisely administer image guided injections for pain and regenerative treatments such as prolotherapy, and protein rich plasma therapy.
We also introduced the highest calibre of Health Canada Approved medical laser using an advanced technology from Germany. Our medical laser has a variety of applications from treatment of chronic pain to autoimmune disease and as photodynamic therapy for the treatment of various cancers.
As you know, we believe that cancer doesn’t work in one way and neither should we in our approach to treating this complex disease.
To that point the medical laser has been an exciting addition to our evidence informed, multifaceted treatment protocols. Particularly in combination with our other advanced therapies including medical local regional hyperthermia and strategically integrated with our advanced infusion therapies and targeted nutrition.
