After my father’s cancer diagnosis, I began reviewing medical literature for natural and integrative treatments that work better than conventional treatment alone. Even though we are on the east coast of the United States, Port Moody Health seemed like the best possible clinic in North America for my dad’s integrative cancer treatment based on the evidence-based treatments they offer, and the reviews I saw online.
After three trips to Port Moody for treatment, I can say we definitely made the right choice. Dr. Gurm’s expertise in both conventional and integrative treatments and how they interact is unmatched, as is her care for her patients. I have never spoken with a doctor as knowledgeable and proficient in their field as she is. Every single person working at Port Moody Health demonstrates the utmost care and commitment to excellence. At a time when many medical professionals are becoming burnt-out and apathetic, the staff here are the opposite. The front desk staff are attentive to detail, caring, and communicative, and the nurses and Dr. Jeff truly care about each patient’s comfort and well-being, and take the time to address all concerns and answer any and all questions.
Besides the evidence-based treatment they provide, I have no doubt that the positivity of the staff at Port Moody Health is contributing to the incredible progress my dad has seen so far.
If I could give this clinic and its team ten stars, I would. Every aspect of care received by my partner (undergoing treatment for cancer from Dr. Adrian) and me, for cosmetic enhancements, has been exemplary.
We've immediately been put at ease, recommended the right procedures, and received follow up by a team member to ensure things are on-track. The cosmetic treatments have been was so quick and comfortable with results I’m excited about! My spouse continues to experience the very best bedside manner one could hope for: Dr. Adrian, herself (who's amazing), the smiling administrative staff who greet everyone with warmth and go the extra mile at every opportunity, along with the friendly, attentive nursing team (Jessica, Kai, and Yvonne).
We feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered such a stellar group of professionals, and we look forward to every visit in such rare, capable hands.
Dr Sharon Gurm and her team at the PM Health are wonderful & professional. The quality of service is unbeatable. The Clinic is very clean, too.
Specially the care I get from the nurses Yvonne, Denise and Jessica are outstanding make me feel well the end of the day.
The front end staff are very professional and very helpfully. They try very hard to accommodate my treatment schedule so they can work around of my time. Oh! they always smiling and in a good mood, too. :-)
The clinic environment its so peaceful and graceful when I step into the clinic my stress goes away!
Dr Sharon Gurm is a very nice person, knowledgeable, talented. She always listen what I'm saying, then give me the right logical answer. I highly recommend Dr. Gurm. and her staff.
Dr. Adrian is an exceptionally talented doctor and investigator with an arsenal of applied knowledge. I have full faith, trust and confidence in her after struggling for years to find a doctor that could help me with my complex disease symptoms. I was originally referred to Dr. Adrian by a mycologist for a mold infection which no other doctor knew how to help me with. On my first visit I immediately noticed how the PMH facility is very clean and well kept with friendly office staff and an uplifting environment. Although my GP had acknowledged the fungal infection issue and wanted to help, she said mainstream medicine was not equipped to support me back to health. Dr. Adrian came through and helped me to cure the mold infection!
Notably, her ability to notice and identify patterns in a constellation of symptoms across multiple bodily systems is unsurpassed and I am always in appreciation for how she is diligent about considering and researching what are the safest and most effective treatments for the individual patient - especially for those of us who have multiple chemical sensitivities and over-reactive immune systems.
This is my 4th week working with the wonderful team at Port Moody Health. I stand by my initial assessment of the clinic from my Oct. visit & I’m very glad I’m out here moving towards my goal to reach remission.
From the Drs, nurses to front end staff, everyone is genuinely there to help you progress the best you can & at the pace your body can handle. It’s not only me that notice it & many of conversations with other patients always highlight how much everyone appreciates the level of care given at this clinic.
There’s many reasons to be at this clinic but as someone from out of province, I can genuinely say to find a place that listens & responds to your questions & concerns with a level of respect I rarely see elsewhere is so refreshing. Maybe it’s part of the healing not to be in fight, fright or flight mode (we all experienced one of those feelings working with Drs that didn’t mesh with your needs) but that effort to be there for the patients, really is a huge deal for me.
Personally, I work with Dr. Gurm. She takes time to check in with patient’s progress & speaks at the level that I can keep up with my heavy brain fog, current knowledge & understanding. Be it for the topic of treatment, layering of items, routine of medicine/vitamins/supplements or just how the machines are working for a person.
I first starting going to Port Moody Health in 2016 when I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer.
I am happy to say that I am now 6 years cancer free and I owe a HUGE THANKS to Dr Gurm and all the staff starting at reception for making sure all my appointments were flawlessly booked or changed without any complaints or fuss, to the nurses who tended to my every need and made sure that every aspect of my care was meticulous.
Everyone at PMH make sure that all patients feel comfortable, no matter what. That is their top priority. Dr Gurm's level of commitment to providing the best level of care for her patients is truly amazing. Her passion for curing her patients is infectious. Her bedside manner is amazing, from discussing what happens now and what happens next to a shoulder to cry on if you need it.
She is a strong, caring and compassionate Dr. I truly believe that the care that I received made my 6 months of chemo bearable and that I am here to talk about it because of the treatment that I received at PMH. I will always be grateful to them all.
